How It Works
A vetted network, not a fleet
Canadian Limos delivers corporate chauffeur service across six Canadian cities through a network of vetted local chauffeur partners. A trip booked in Ottawa is run by chauffeurs based in Ottawa, held to the same standard as one in Toronto.
That model only works if the people in it are genuinely good, which is why the vetting is real and why consistency matters so much once you are in. We are selective at the front end so that we can be dependable at the back end.
If you run a small operation rather than driving yourself, the same applies. We work with individual chauffeurs and with owner-operators.
What We Look For
The standard, plainly stated
Licensed and insured
A valid provincial driver's licence in good standing, plus any municipal or regional licence your city requires for chauffeured passenger transport. Owner-operators need commercial insurance appropriate to the work.
A clean record
A current driver's abstract and a clear criminal background check. Both are re-checked periodically, because our corporate clients ask us to evidence it.
Presentation and discretion
Business attire, a quiet and clean vehicle, and the judgment to keep a trip private. A meaningful share of our work is executive and government travel where discretion is a requirement, not a preference.
Reliability you can evidence
Punctuality is the product. We track every trip, so consistency matters more here than in most driving work, and it is what determines how much work comes your way.
The Work
What working with us looks like
Fixed, agreed rates
Every trip is quoted and confirmed in writing before it runs. You know what a job pays before you accept it, and there is no surge or meter guesswork.
Dispatch and flight tracking
Trips arrive with the detail already attached, including live flight tracking on airport work, so you are not chasing a passenger who landed early or late.
Corporate and executive work
Our client base is corporate travel managers, executive assistants, and executives. That means scheduled, repeat, professional trips rather than late-night consumer work.
One standard across six cities
The same booking, briefing, and service standard applies whether the trip is in Toronto or Edmonton, so you always know what is expected.
Common Questions
Becoming a chauffeur
How do I become a chauffeur in Canada?
Start with a valid provincial driver's licence in good standing and a clean driver's abstract. Most municipalities that regulate chauffeured passenger transport also require a local licence or permit, so check the requirements for the city you plan to work in. Beyond the paperwork, professional chauffeur work is judged on presentation, punctuality, route knowledge, and discretion, which is what separates it from general driving work.
Do I need my own vehicle?
Not necessarily. We work with both individual professional chauffeurs and owner-operators who bring their own vehicle. If you are an owner-operator, the vehicle needs to meet the executive standard our corporate clients expect and carry commercial insurance appropriate to the work.
Which cities do you cover?
Toronto and the GTA, Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa, and Edmonton. We are always interested in hearing from experienced chauffeurs and operators in any of those six markets.
Is this employment or contract work?
Canadian Limos works through a vetted network of local chauffeur partners, so arrangements vary by city and by whether you are an individual chauffeur or an operator. Get in touch and we will explain exactly how it works in your market before you commit to anything.
What kind of trips would I be doing?
Mostly airport transfers, point-to-point executive travel, and as-directed (hourly) work for corporate clients, along with delegation and event travel. It is scheduled, professional work rather than on-demand consumer trips.
