Which terminal will you land at?
Pearson assigns airlines by alliance, not by route. As a rule of thumb:
- Terminal 1 — Air Canada and its Star Alliance partners (Lufthansa, United, Swiss, Turkish, and others), plus a few non-alliance carriers such as Emirates and Etihad.
- Terminal 3 — WestJet, Air Transat, Porter, and the oneworld and SkyTeam carriers (American, British Airways, Qatar, Delta, Air France, KLM, and more).
There are exceptions, and airlines do move, so always confirm your specific flight's terminal with your airline or on the Pearson website before travelling.
How arrivals work at each terminal
Both terminals funnel arrivals to the Arrivals Level (Level 1). US flights arrive via preclearance and exit like domestic passengers; international flights clear Canadian customs and collect baggage first. Each terminal has one main public greeting area outside the customs hall.
Important: Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 are not connected airside. If you somehow need the other terminal, you collect your bags and travel landside on the free Terminal Link train.
Where chauffeurs pick up at each terminal
The sanctioned pre-arranged chauffeur pickup point is the same at both terminals: the Pre-Arranged Services Desk on the Arrivals Level, signed at Door A. You check in with the desk, and your driver is paged. This is separate from the on-demand taxi and rideshare zones, whose curbs differ between T1 and T3.
Getting between terminals
The free, automated Terminal Link train connects Terminal 1, Terminal 3, and the Viscount parking station around the clock, every few minutes. It's the only way to move between terminals once you've landed, since they aren't joined airside.
The simplest approach: confirm your arrival terminal when you book, and we track the flight so your chauffeur is at the right Door A when you walk out.
